Job Title: Project Manager Department: Production Reports to (Primary): Director of Operations Reports to (Secondary): General Manager (GM)
Job Summary:
DBC’s Project Manager (PM) must represent the company in a friendly and professional manner to its customers, subcontractors, and fellow co-workers, upholding DBC’s Core Values of treating everyone well, keeping everything clean, and excelling every time, in all interactions – they will also ensure their team is conducting themselves in the same manner.
The PM will work under the supervision of DBC’s Director of Operations (DO). The PM will be a direct supervisor for the production crews (crews are made up of Foreman, carpenters, and/or laborers) within their division(s) assigned. The PM is responsible for managing up to 4 – 5 crews within their division(s). The PM is responsible for training and performance reviews of their crews, as well as coordination and oversight of the customer jobs assigned within their division(s).
The PM will be responsible for attending weekly training meetings and other training courses required. They may also be responsible for conducting production-related training. Their time will be divided between the office and field, but most time will be spent in the office.
Essential Job Functions:
· Conduct pre-construction meetings with estimator and homeowner(s)
· Measure projects and create take-offs
· Prepare project budgets and work timetables
· Assist estimator with properly pricing unique aspects of their projects
· Add newly sold projects to your scheduling calendar and communicate time frames with customer(s)
· Utilize Salesforce i360 for project organization and internal tasks
· Communicate often with customers, subcontractors and suppliers
· Promptly address customer issues, concerns, and complaints, striving to ensure a “delighted” experience for all
· Work proactively with your team(s) to foster strong online customer reviews, upholding DBC's reputation for excellence
· Schedule crews and projects on ConnecTeam no less than 24 hours in advance
· Review time sheets weekly for accuracy and give approval for payroll purposes
· Review Time Off requests weekly and give approval, as appropriate
· Schedule subcontractors and assist with finding and hiring new subcontractors, as needed
· Order materials and schedule material deliveries
· Responsible for any delays, emergencies, and problems that may arise
· Be available to swiftly address weekend customer emergencies, as needed
· Evaluate job performance and perform project performance reviews
· Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements
· Report to Estimator(s) all change order requests
· Report to Finance Manager weekly all customer invoicing needs
· Oversee the collection of payments throughout the duration of a project
· Support the finance department with collections by following up on past-due customer payments
· Review Job Logs in ConnecTeam,daily
· Conduct final walkthroughs with customer(s) on the last day of a project
· Fill out inventory sheets and finalize project(s) by submitting a bonus closeout form
· Review project bonuses with finance and/or the DO before payout
· Assist with finding and hiring crew members, including conducting interviews
· Conduct individual employee annual reviews, and other reviews, as needed
· Motivate, guide, and direct others to produce expected production outcomes
· Assist and support business planning when needed
· Perform other related duties as assigned
Essential Skills:
· Skilled in operating personal computer and programs such as Microsoft Office, and other business software
· Ability to read blueprints and schematics
· Understand workplace safety standards
· Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail, ensure priorities are managed and deadlines are met
· Knowledge of inventory procurement practices, and the ability to order and manage inventory
· Skilled in logic and math
· Able to self-manage
· Able to communicate with crews about job generalities and specifics
· Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· 5 or more years of construction/carpentry experience
· 2 or more years as a construction foreman or managerial experience
· Forklift experience, preferred
Physical Requirements:
· Able to assist with lifting and moving materials, when needed. Lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
· Seeing computer screens and reports is a must
· Hearing well enough on the telephone and in person is a must
· Ability to climb up and down ladders or household stairs often

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
