This unbelievable transformation in Erie, PA was designed by the talented Shenley Schenk. The new kitchen features a two-tone design, granite countertops, Medallion cabinets, and unique lighting in the support beam. What started as a small boxed-in kitchen is wide open and allows the client to be involved with the activities in the home while working in the kitchen. DBC accomplished this open concept by removing walls and coming up with a layout that was optimally designed.
Maximizing space with function and storage was key in this kitchen renovation!
Walls were opened to create a flow that any entertainer would envy! This two tone kitchen boasts soft white cabinetry complimented by a wood island peninsula. Two tone countertops, leathered black granite and polished granite, were used to create interest and fit the clients style. The fire clay farm house sink, black hardware, and modern gray subway tile give this kitchen a classic but updated appeal.
You can not deny the functional storage and unique spaces created in this space. Trash can pull outs, a large pantry with rollout trays, pots and pans drawers, floating shelves are all packed into this kitchen. Specialty spaces including a wine area and coffee bar bring aesthetics and function!
From closed and tight to open and spacious! This transformation is incredible.
This homeowner partnered with DBC to transform her kitchen into a bright, open space perfect for family gatherings. Working closely together, they created a warm, sophisticated design featuring a full-height backsplash that enhances light and elegance. Subtle texture, natural finishes, and brushed gold accents add European-inspired luxury. The result is a grand yet functional kitchen that beautifully balances style, comfort, and practicality for everyday living and entertaining.
What began as a kitchen remodel evolved into a full first-floor transformation. DBC took the kitchen down to the studs, rebuilding with new cabinets, drywall, insulation, electrical, and plumbing. Opening the kitchen to the dining room created a brighter, more spacious flow. The project expanded to include new flooring, trim, ceilings, windows, and a custom railing. The result is a beautifully refreshed first floor that blends modern comfort with the home’s original charm.
