Doug officially started DBC Remodeling & Construction in 2007, though he has been involved with construction all his life. From his earliest days he learned the trade hands on from his dad and grandfather, who both have a knack for home renovations. Doug has believed since the outset of DBC that people deserve a better remodeling experience. He believes that remodeling a home can be stressful enough, and with DBC he has pursued creating a trustworthy company that focuses on the customer’s experience and peace of mind.
Doug and his wife, Andrea and their two children reside in Millcreek. They love the Erie region and make the most of the resources we have here. In the winter you can find them sledding and skiing, and in the summer enjoying our lake front views and restaurants!
Steve works for DBC doing estimating and outside sales. His vast knowledge of construction, along with his experience working in carpentry since childhood, has made him an invaluable addition to DBC’s team. Steve works with the customer and our crews from start to finish on any job he sells, and his passion for quality craftsmanship and excellence shows.
Steve grew up in the Erie area and is a graduate of Fort LeBoeuf High School. In his down time Steve plays guitar, enjoys hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family. He and his wife, Stacy are raising their two boys in Erie.
Kristen, sister to DBC’s owner, manages the office. Her tasks range from handling project scheduling, setting up appointments, human resources, communication with customers and suppliers, as well as many other responsibilities. Kristen is passionate about making sure that every customer, employee, and supplier is treated well, and communicated with effectively and respectfully throughout the process of each job. Having grown up in a construction family, she spent many days assisting her dad on projects and has a genuine appreciation for the business.
Kristen and her husband, David are raising their four children in Millcreek. Free time is spent with her family; they love to camp, enjoy the outdoors and time on the water, and chipping away at projects on their home.
Geoff began working for DBC as a lead carpenter with over twenty-five years experience, then quickly moved into the role of Project Manager. He is a skilled finish carpenter, with a background in kitchens, baths, and flooring, among other things. Geoff ensures that our jobs and crews are running smoothly and on-time and makes sure that our customers are communicated with throughout the process. Geoff’s passion for excellence and attention to detail are obvious in the work he does.
Geoff grew up in Albion and resides with his family in Girard. He loves spending time outdoors playing softball, golfing, canoeing, kayaking, and camping in his free time.
Jeff joined our company in 2018 but has been in and around the construction field for over nineteen years, including owning his own company for seven years. Jeff specializes in painting and custom finishes – he tells everyone his job is to make things “pretty.” Jeff places a high priority on giving his customer's a pleasant and friendly experience, while receiving a beautiful finished product.
Jeff grew up in Atwater, OH, later relocating to Girard with his wife, Karla, and their two adorable golden retrievers. He spends his free time working on projects with his wife, traveling, and enjoying their life together. Jeff considers his co-workers at DBC an extension of his family.
Dana is the father of DBC’s owner, Doug, and DBC’s office manager, Kristen. Growing up in Erie, Dana officially began working construction at the age of 15 alongside his dad. He is a graduate of McDowell High School and served in the Army National Guard. Through the years Dana has worked in construction as an estimator, and purchased and remodeled homes and businesses in the Warren and Erie County area. Dana balances an enjoyment of people with his love for construction.
A life-long outdoorsman, Dana prefers spending his free time hunting or fishing. He and his wife, Mary, reside in Millcreek.
Phil has been working for DBC since 2012. He began as a laborer with little background in construction but an eagerness to learn on the job. Over the years he gained the necessary skills and training to run a crew efficiently. Phil is skilled in many aspects of carpentry, but his area of expertise is decks.
Phil grew up in Erie; he and his wife, Ashley currently reside in the Cambridge Springs area. He loves spending his down time working on his own house, camping, playing soccer or basketball, riding his motorcycle and watching movies. He’s an active volunteer at his church where he runs sound and media.
Travis began working for DBC in 2018. He has an extensive construction background from growing up in and around the business. At the age of thirteen he began working summers and school vacations for his father and grandfather’s construction company. Travis grew up in Saegertown, and currently resides there with his wife and two children. He enjoys the outdoors and all it has to offer – from skiing to hunting, camping and kayaking. He especially loves supporting his kids in all their pursuits.
Travis can often be found leading one of our crews on a job site. He enjoys framing additions and decks, to remodeling kitchens and baths. He loves turning customers dreams for their home into a reality. Travis' passion for the work he does shows in every project given.
Sergey came to DBC with six years of carpentry experience; split between working in the U.S. and working in the Ukraine, where he grew up. Sergey believes that quality is everything, which is why we appreciate his work ethic and attention to detail.
Sergey said his free time is limited, but when given the opportunity he enjoys working on projects around his home, hiking and going to museums. Sergey and his two daughters reside in Erie.
Kevin had five years of carpentry experience when he began working for DBC during the summer of 2017. Having assisted in many aspects of construction, he feels most proficient with decks, rough framing, and finish trim work. Kevin's willingness to learn new skills and his attention to detail make him a valuable asset to DBC.
Kevin grew up in Erie and is an avid soccer player; he enjoys spending his down time playing video games, and working on side projects.
Lindsey joined the DBC team in 2019 with a painting background. She's been painting for more than twenty years and was painting professionally over six years before coming to work with us. Lindsey can often be found on our jobs painting walls and trim, staining finishes, assisting on tiling projects, as well as other various tasks. Lindsey’s creativity, attention to detail, and organizational skills are an invaluable asset. She loves seeing the results on any project, as well as experiencing the customer’s positive reaction!
Lindsey enjoys spending her free time with her two adorable daughter’s and their family pets. She also tackles many DIY projects in her own home. We love having Lindsey on our team!
Bob has worked for DBC Remodeling for more than five years. Bob has over forty-four years of carpentry experience with kitchen and bathroom remodels as his specialty. He is an excellent finish carpenter with cabinetry and trim, and pays close attention to detail.
As an Erie resident, he also spent part of his growing up years in Germany, Kentucky and New York. Bob enjoys reading, creating videos, photography and painting in his spare time. When asked what Bob likes most about working for DBC, he said it’s the great people he’s fortunate to work with! Bob and his wife, Bonny, live in Erie.
